जागतिक चित्रपट सृष्टीत वेग वेगळे उपक्रम महोत्सवाद्वारे आयोजित केले जातात. बरेच महोत्सवाला स्पर्धेचे स्वरूप जास्त असते. अशा स्पर्धेमुळे हौशी लघुपटांना तांत्रिक कमतरतेमुळे कमी वाव मिळतो. अशी परिसथिती लघुपट निर्माते खचले जातात . हीच परिस्थिती पाहता सम्यक कालांश प्रतिष्ठान आणि १०७.८ मस्ट रेडिओ यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने मस्ट आंतरराष्ट्रीय लघुपट महोत्सव मुंबई विद्यापीठात आयोजनाचा अभिनव उपक्रम २०१२ साली सुरू करण्यात आला. ह्या महोत्सवात अनुभवी व हौशी लघुपट निर्मात्यांचे लघुपटांसाठी हक्काचे व्यासपीठ ह्या महोत्सवाद्वारे निशुल्क खुला करण्यात आला. गत वर्षी प्रमाणे यंदा देखील लघुपट निर्माते सक्रिय सहभागी झाले आहेत. दिनांक ११ जुले ते १३ जुले २०१६ रोजी सकाळी १० ते सायंकाळी ५ वाजे पर्यंत सम्यक कालांश प्रतिष्ठान आणि १०७.८ मस्ट रेडिओ यांच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने ५वा मस्ट आंतरराष्ट्रीय लघुपट महोत्सव २०१६मुंबई विद्यापीठात (कालीन कॅम्पस) येथे आयोजित करण्यात आले. सदर महोत्सवात वेग वेगळ्या देशातील सामाजिक विषयांवर आधारित ४८ लघुपट दाखवणार आहे . लघुपट दाखविल्या नंतर लघुपट निर्माता व उपस्थित प्रेक्षक यांच्यात परिसंवाद साधला जाणार आहे .
प्रत्येक कलाकृती प्रेक्षकांशिवाय अधुरी असते. हे लक्षात घेऊन आयोजकांनी सर्व वर्गातील प्रेक्षकांसाठी हा आंतरराष्ट्रीय महोत्सव पाहण्या करिता सुरू केला असून. सर्व प्रेक्षकांनी उपस्थित राहून लघुपट निर्मात्यांनी सादर केलेल्या लघुपटास प्रोत्साहन द्यावे. असे कळविण्यात आले आहे .
All over the world various events are conducted by film industries. Most of them are competitions. In such competitions the newcomers and newbies doesn't stand in at level due to lack of equipments and technology. Thus they get demotivated. Thus in order to overcome the same and provide them a platform Samyak Kalansh Pratishthan and 107.8 MUST Radio in collaboration started organising MUST International Short Film Festival at Mumbai University(Kalina) from the year 2012. This festival provides platform to all the experienced as well as newcomers at free of cost. Alike last year, this year also many short film producers have participated. The 5th MUST International Film Festival is organised on 11th July to 13th July 2016 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. by Samyak Kalansh Pratishthan in collaboration with MUST Radio and Mumbai University(Kalina Campus). Total 48 Short films based on Social issues from various parts of the world would be screened. After the screening of each film there would be direct communication between the producers and the audience.
Such events are incomplete without the audience thus for the same the organisers have kept the MUST International Film Festival open for all. Be present in large numbers to make the event successful.
